It is located north of Central Park in the borough of Manhattan, between 96th or 110th and 155th streets, separated from te Bronx by the Harlem River which connects the East River and the Hudson River.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                           The Harlem district is divided into three sectors : West Harlem west of St. Nicholas Avenue, Central Harlem between St Nicholas Avenue and Fifth Avenue, East Harlem east of Fifth Avenue and along the East River.
